Mandarin Orchard Singapore (previously Mandarin Singapore and Meritus Mandarin Singapore) is a five-star hotel located at 333 Orchard Road in Singapore, and is managed by Meritus Hotels & Resorts. The hotel specifically targets the business traveller market, and is thus a popular venue for meetings and conferences with facilities seating up to 1200 people.
The Mandarin Orchard was voted as one of the World’s Best Places to Stay in the 2004 Gold List of Condé Nast Traveller and got into the list of The World’s Top 75 Hotels in 2003. The hotel also boasts the tallest revolving restaurant in Singapore, Top of the 'M'.
A Colt automatic ventilation system was installed in the shopping centre located on the bottom floors of the hotel. This comprises mechanical extract fans, dampers, a ducted smoke extraction system and smoke curtains for containment in the event of an emergency.
