Ms Sharan Pinto, who has been appointed as Managing Director of Colt Ventilation East Asia in August 2012, has brought new focus to the region’s sales team with a fresh approach that fosters vibrant communication and teamwork, promotes the development of each member’s potential and encourages closer relationships with the customers.
“When I joined Colt, I found a team with great potential,” commented Ms Pinto. “One of my first priorities was to identify its strengths and training needs, to ensure everyone was in the right role, and able to contribute their best to the team and develop new skills as necessary.” “Another priority was re-igniting training seminars for our Distributors, to bring them up to date with Colt’s latest technologies and know-how, and put them in a position to give our customers the best service.”
In addition to these changes, Sharan has now appointed two Senior Sales Engineers to support Regional and Solar Shading business development efforts.
The new Regional Sales Manager, Mr Jon Koh, returns to Colt bringing to his new role prior technical and sales expertise, as well as in-depth knowledge of the region’s markets, that he developed in previous positions within the company. He replaces Mr Raymond Fung, who has moved to a new position, providing product support to the sales team.
The new Senior Architectural/Solar Shading Sales Engineer, Mr. Don Low comes to Colt from the signage business where he has had 10+ years of experience in selling and project managing large scale projects. Some key jobs include Mumbai airport valued at $5m+, Singapore Airport at $4m+, and the Land Transport Authority $6m.
“We look forward to having Don onboard to further develop our business in Singapore! All in all, the South East Asia Region presents great potential for growth, and I am confident that with the changes in our approach and the new appointments we will be able to make the most of it, increasing our business and providing our customers with the best support in the region,” concluded Ms Pinto.
